On 18th November, Minister for Education and Human Resource Development, Mr. David Pierre, undertook a familiarization visit to the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education (SITE), the Seychelles Institute of Distance and Open Learning (SIDOL), and the Seychelles Qualifications Authority (SQA).
As the newly appointed Minister, his tour focused on meeting staff and students, strengthening institutional ties, and assessing ongoing initiatives. At SITE, he encouraged teacher trainees to embrace classroom realities and professional growth. At SIDOL, he highlighted the importance of expanding access to distance and open learning, while at SQA he underscored the role of accreditation and qualifications in maintaining high standards.
The visits reaffirmed his commitment to advancing quality teaching, lifelong learning, and workforce development in Seychelles.
