The Makarios Foundation of Seychelles presented its annual bursary to the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development during a brief ceremony held on 21st November.
The Hon. Chief Justice of Seychelles and Chairman of the Foundation, Justice Rony Govinden, handed over a cheque valued at SCR 100,000 to Minister David Pierre. The funds are intended to support students in need, reflecting a shared commitment to investing in their educational journeys.
Established in 1985 in memory of the late Archbishop Makarios, who was exiled to Seychelles from Cyprus, the Foundation was created to promote education, culture, and social welfare across the nation.
