The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development held a first meeting with headteachers on 25th November, to reinforce collaboration and address key priorities in the education sector.
Minister David Pierre highlighted the importance of the meeting, noting that principals and administrators are central to driving change within schools. The session was presented as the beginning of a strengthened partnership between the Ministry and schools, based on trust, respect, and teamwork.
Acknowledgement was given to the positive work being carried out at the school level under the leadership of participants. These achievements were recognized as vital to the progress of education in Seychelles, providing a strong foundation for future improvements and better outcomes for learners.
The Ministry also recognized the challenges faced daily by schools, some of which persist over time. It was emphasized that the immediate priority is to restore and strengthen discipline across all institutions.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation advancing education through stronger cooperation.
