The Minister for Education and Human Resource Development, Mr. David Pierre, led a delegation to La Digue School on 28th November 2025.The activity was part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen education infrastructure in Seychelles.
During the visit, the Minister met with the Senior Management Team to discuss the school’s development plans and held an entretien with teachers in the staffroom, where he listened to their views and concerns. He was also presented with the architectural drawings of the new school by Mr. Jitesh Shah, CEO of the Seychelles Infrastructure Agency (SIA), outlining the vision for the future facility.
The visit concluded with a site tour of the temporary school, which is being prepared to accommodate secondary students during the first phase of construction. This engagement underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring continuity of learning while laying the foundation for modern, improved facilities on La Digue.
