Generous Donation Supports Creation of Dedicated Study and Guidance Space at Ministry’s Careers Division

The Careers and Further Education Progression Division of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development received a generous donation of office furniture on 5th December. The contribution was made by Mr Sulliman, a parent of one of our students, to support the creation of a dedicated study and guidance space at the Link Building, Ile du Port.

The idea for this space was initiated and guided by Ms Françoise Mein, Director General for Careers and Further Education Progression, as part of her commitment to improving service delivery and providing a supportive environment for learners. The new area will particularly benefit students who study online and those who require a quiet place to access information, complete applications, or meet officers of the Division.

The space will also serve careers guidance teachers as a venue for workshops, meetings, and collaborative work, allowing them to discuss ideas and develop materials that support the national careers guidance agenda.

The donation was formally handed over to the Minister for Education, Mr David Pierre. He was accompanied by Dr. Justin Zelime, Principal Secretary for General Education and Curriculum; Mr Bernard Arnephy, Principal Secretary for Educational Support and Projects; Mr Jean Alcindor, Principal Secretary for Human Resource Development; Mr John Lesperance, Special Advisor, and Ms. Françoise Mein.
