The Minister for Education and Human Resource Development, Mr. David Pierre, recently convened a meeting with the leadership of the University of Seychelles (UniSey) to discuss the institution’s strategic priorities. Key areas of focus included UniSey’s legal framework, financial sustainability, and campus development, underscoring the government’s dedication to enhancing higher education in Seychelles.
Present at the meeting were Mr. Bernard Arnephy, Principal Secretary for Educational Support and Projects; Mr. Jean Alcindor, Principal Secretary for Human Resource Development; Vice-Chancellor Ms. Joelle Perreau; as well as senior academic leaders including Mr. Robin Zarine, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Development, and Dr. Daniel Etongo, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Sustainable Development.
Both parties highlighted the importance of collaboration to ensure UniSey continues to build national capacity and align its academic programs with the country’s long-term development goals.
