New Principal Secretary for Education Services at the Helm
Following the announcement made by the President last week, the new Principal Secretary for Education Services, Ms Merna Eulentin, embarked on her new role officially on Tuesday 01st February 2022.In a special meeting held in the morning, PS Eulentin was given a very warm welcome by the Executive Committee of the Ministry, together with the Director Generals and Chief Education Officers. All present congratulated Ms Eulentin and ensured her of their continuous support. On her side, PS Eulentin expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to all who have guided and mentored her along the way, which has resulted in this new parcours.
The team seized the opportunity to reflect and discuss on the importance of working together as a team, for the betterment of education in Seychelles. As stated “expectations are high and we cannot waiver”. In conclusion, the Minister for Education, Dr Justin Valentin expressed, “Let us draw our forces together and work as a common denominator”, for the achievement of the Ministry’s strategic goals.
Focus, strength, resilience…were all words echoed to build the team towards attainment of the Ministry’s new motto “…Raising aspirations and ensuring worthwhile learning”.
