The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development held a two-day retreat on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th February 2026 at Anse Royale Primary School to advance the development of its Five-Year Strategic Plan.
The retreat brought together the Minister for Education and Human Resource Development, Mr. David Pierre, alongside stakeholders and partners. Discussions centred on the proposed Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the Ministry, as well as the consolidation of inputs into a comprehensive Results Framework.
At this critical stage of the Strategic Plan’s review and finalisation, the Ministry’s objective was to ensure that the framework was coherent, realistic, and firmly aligned with the Government’s vision, policy direction, and national development priorities.
During the retreat, participants focused on refining the Ministry’s vision, mission, core values, and strategic priorities, while ensuring clear alignment between goals, objectives, interventions, and performance criteria.
The retreat provided a platform for constructive dialogue, collaboration, and consensus-building, reinforcing the Ministry’s commitment to delivering a Strategic Plan that would guide the education sector over the next five years.
