The Minister for Education and Human Resource Development, Mr. David Pierre, joined the President of the Republic, Dr. Patrick Herminie on visits to the School for Exceptional Child at Roche Caiman and the Autism Centre at North East Point on 19th December.
During the visits, the delegation interacted with staff at both institutions to understand their work and to discuss on the way forward about improving the facilities to delivering their service. In attendance was the Minister of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade and Investment, Mr. Pierre Laporte, Principal Secretary for Educational Support and projects Mr. Bernard Arnephy and other officials.
President Herminie reiterated his government’s dedication to building a fully accessible facility that will centralize all services and staff, ensuring children with special needs receive comprehensive care and the opportunity to flourish.
