Monitoring and Evaluation (MEL) visit by the KAICIID delegation

From 11th to 15th May 2026, the Ministry of Education hosted an official Monitoring and Evaluation (MEL) visit by the KAICIID delegation, comprising Aleksandar Zivanovic and Leonor Duarte, who conducted consultations and review sessions on national implementation.
A key highlight of the visit was a courtesy meeting with Minister of Education and human Resource Development, Ambassador David Pierre, attended by Executive Director Dr. Linda Barallon, Mrs Vicky Michel (Secretary General, National Commission for UNESCO), and Mrs Erica Derjacques-Inacio, Chairperson of the Ethics Education Project Team and Director General for Inclusive and Special Needs Education Division. Discussions focused on national progress and the future direction of Ethics Education in Seychelles.
Technical sessions and field visits to Anse Royale Secondary School, Mont Fleuri Secondary School, and La Rosière Primary School enabled the delegation to engage with teachers, learners, and Ethics Education Fellows through classroom observations and learning circles, strengthening evidence collection and practice-based feedback.
The visit reaffirmed Seychelles’ commitment to advancing ethical education, strengthening partnerships, and promoting inclusive, evidence-based approaches to peacebuilding and social cohesion.
