Reopening of schools for Term 2 of the academic year

A Ministerial delegation visited Perseverance North Primary School and Perseverance Secondary School on Monday 11th May to mark the reopening of schools for Term 2 of the academic year. The visit coincided with the first day back for students, bringing a renewed sense of energy and purpose to the learning environment.
At both schools, Minister David Pierre delivered encouraging messages to students, urging them to remain disciplined, resilient, and positive as they continue their academic journey. The Minister emphasized that education is the cornerstone of personal success and national progress, reminding learners that their commitment today will shape the future of Seychelles.
The delegation also held meaningful exchanges with teachers and staff, recognizing their dedication and hard work in guiding students through the evolving challenges of education. In discussions with school management, the Minister reaffirmed the Ministry’s support for leadership teams in strengthening teaching quality, promoting student well-being, and advancing innovative practices such as digitalisation and inclusivity.
This visit reflected the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to building strong partnerships with schools, ensuring that students, educators, and administrators feel valued and supported. It also set a positive tone for the new academic term, reinforcing the shared vision of excellence in education.
