The Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles, Lin Nan, paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development on 12th January. During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the Minister on his appointment and reaffirmed the strong partnership between China and Seychelles, highlighting the elevation of bilateral relations to a strategic level.
Discussions centered on education, with emphasis on China’s support to local schools, the promotion of Chinese language and culture, and the introduction of smart classrooms in collaboration with Huawei.
Looking ahead, both sides outlined plans for scholarships, study tours to China, and the expansion of technical and vocational training. In the context of the “Year of China & Africa People-to-People Exchanges,” youth activities and cultural events will further deepen cooperation, complemented by increased opportunities through the Confucius Institute.
