Long-serving support staff members Awards Ceremony

The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development held a landmark awards ceremony on Friday 15th May 2026,at the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education (SITE) to honour the invaluable contributions of its support staff.
A total of 90 long-serving support staff members, many of whom have dedicated 30 years and above to the Ministry, were recognised for their unwavering commitment and service. This was the first event of its kind, specifically dedicated to celebrating support staff in the education sector ;a powerful acknowledgment of their vital role in sustaining schools and institutions across the nation.
The ceremony also paid tribute to seven retirees and medically boarded staff, ensuring that those concluding their service were equally celebrated. Each honoree received a commemorative shield, flowers, and monetary rewards, symbolising the Ministry’s deep gratitude for their long-standing dedication.
By recognising both active and retiring staff, the Ministry reinforced its commitment to inclusivity and appreciation, ensuring that every individual who has contributed to the education sector is valued and remembered.
